Using The Hooker Deer Drag w/ Depredation Permits

The State of Indiana and other states issue depredation permits to protect crops from damage by deer. One of our neighbors never thought he would need a set of our Hooker Deer Drags™ because his farm is relatively flat and he can drive his quad, tractor or pickup truck right up to the deer during hunting season. However, this summer Dennis is hunting with depredation permits to protect his crops.

He shot a large doe but couldn’t drive through the planted field with either his truck, quad or tractor without damaging the soybeans. As he was dragging the doe by hand, around the edge of his field, he thought about our Hooker Deer Drags™. He bought a set the next morning. While he was talking to us and since Dennis also raises hogs, Steve mentioned that you could drag hogs with The Hooker Deer Drag™  in their mouth. Dennis thought of this and then used the drags with the hook in the mouth of the deer. It allowed him to drag the doe head first with her legs folded underneath her straight down the row of soybeans without damaging his crop. He and his brother have harvested five deer with the depredation permits to date and they are both amazed by how much easier The Hooker Deer Drag™ makes the chore of dragging deer out of the fields.
